George Carnell Johnson, 63, formerly of Hallsboro, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015 at his residence.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at Mount Hebron AME Zion Church, 570 Red Bug Road, Hallsboro. Burial, with military honors, will be in Hallsboro Memorial Park. Viewing will be held from noon-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville and Friday, Feb. 7 following the service at the church.
Surviving are his father, George Johnson of Whiteville; one sister, Estella Bennett of Hallsboro; and two brothers, Ricky Bennett of Raleigh and Clayton Maurice Bennett of Fair Bluff.
