She attended Ritchey School and moved to Neosho in 1947 where she was a homemaker and raised her family. She enjoyed raising her four sons and daughter, her family was her life. She resided in Neosho for over 70 years and was a member of the Neosho United Methodist Church.
Nora married the love of her life, Robert Ira Ellis on Feb. 20, 1937 and he preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1996. She and Bob made many road trips over the years to visit children and grandchildren. They also enjoyed many ‘Good Sam’s Club’ camping trips.
Nora is survived by a daughter, Beverly Martin and four sons, Lane Ellis and wife, Frances; Rex Ellis and wife, Elaine; Gale Ellis and wife, Sheila and Dale Ellis and wife, Gail; sister in law, Opal Allen; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Nora is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
uneral Services will be held on Sept. 1, 2017 at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Rev. Mitchell Jarvis will officiate. Interment will follow in the Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, from 6 to 7 pm.
