Martha Frances Polk, age 83 of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Monday morning, August 28, 2017 at her residence. She was born August 14, 1934 in Newnan, Georgia, the daughter of the late Aaron Borders and the late Emma Lou Horton Borders. She was a graduate of Western High School, a homemaker and mother, and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy B. Polk. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, James & Kerry Polk of Carrollton; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon & Coley Cooper of Covington, Georgia and Susan & Jeff Wilson of Carrollton; eight grandchildren: Chris Cooper, Matt & Kristen Cooper, Jennifer & Andrew Braden, Aaron & Meagen Polk, Jessica Polk, Cody & Krystal Wilson, Casey & Jolie Wilson, and Ashley & Dustin Smith; and thirteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 4:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Charles Gibbs and Mr. Tony Walls officiating.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Chris Cooper, Matt Cooper, Aaron Polk, Andrew Braden, Cody Wilson, Casey Wilson and Dustin Smith. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens.
