Bill was a member of the US Airforce and relocated to CENLA in the late 50's where he met Diane. Following his military service, Bill worked at Esler Field Airport as the Manager of the Maintenance and Charter Services, holding the only FAA mechanic license in CENLA at the time. He worked in the agricultural equipment sales for many years before retiring to dedicate his life to care for his wife who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
Mr. Butcher was a member of the First Methodist Church of Pineville. He requested that no service be held and in lieu of memorials, donations may be made to the First Methodist Church, 2550 Monroe Hwy, Pineville, LA 71360, Jimmy Butcher Scholarship Fund.
The family wishes to extend warm thanks to St. Joseph's Hospice and Khristi Oates for the great care and attention provided. A special thanks from the family to all of Bill's friends and acquaintances thatcontacted him often during his illness. God Bless.
