Nancy Annalee Bales, age 81, passed into the Heavenly realm on Friday, September 30, 2016 in Hamilton, OH. Nancy was born on June 23, 1935 in Owsley County, KY to John Tivis and Beatrice McIntire Neeley. She was brought into this world by her great aunt, Nancy McIntire, for whom she was named. A resident of Hamilton, OH for around 70 years, Nancy was a retired employee of Mosler Safe Co. and was also employed several other places locally during her working career, which started at age 15. She was a current member of Faith Pentecostal Church and had long-time affiliations with other local churches over the years, including 7th and Chestnut Church of God and Princeton Pike Church of God. She was a past member of the Ladies Circle and of the choir, and had taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Nancy leaves behind a host of family and friends and was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Randall Glenn Neeley; a son, Robert Lee Bales; a grandson, Alan Bales; and her ex-husband and special friend, Danny LeRoy Bales. She is survived by one daughter, Debra Lynn Bales of Hamilton, OH; one sister; Patricia Mays and brother-in-law, Teddie Mays of Georgetown, KY; and her grandchildren: Jessica Reynolds, Robert Bales, Ryan Bales and Taylor Rider all of Hamilton and great grandchildren: Dakota Rider and Mason Reynolds. Her special nieces and nephews include: Michelle Neeley, Alex Neeley, Kellie Bushelman, Jason Mays, Amy Mays and Kyle Mays. Special mention should also be made of her dear friends, July Long and Gail Smith and her honorary granddaughter, Haley Wright, all of whom brought help and comfort to her during her long illness. Some of Nancy’s remains shall be placed beside her parents in the family cemetery in Owsley Co., KY.
