HAVELOCK - Lydia Alfreda Carter Morris, 67, of Blades Road, died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at her residence.

She was a member of Piney Grove A.M.E.Z. Church where she sang in the adult choir and the Daughters of Piney Grove.

Her funeral will be noon Monday, June 6, 2011, at Piney Grove A.M.E.Z. Church with the Rev. Robert Little Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Morris Cemetery.

She is survived by her mother, Luvada Carter of Havelock; husband, Danny Morris of the home; four sons, Casey Carter of California, Donald O. Morris, Danny K. Morris Jr., and Don C. Morris, all of Havelock; two brothers, Augustus Carter of Neptune, N.J., and Neil Carter of Hanover, Md.; and five sisters, Pearlie Hill and Elizabeth Anderson, both of Red Bank N.J., Margaret Barnes of Morehead City, Kellie Jenkins and Ethel Godette, both of Havelock.
