TUSCALOOSA - Susan Ashley White Montgomery, age 45, of Tuscaloosa, passed away on August 24, 2017 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be Monday, August 28, 2017 at 1 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa. A private burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel directing. Visitation will be Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 6-8 pm at the church.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Susanna C. White; grandparents, Frank and Ethel White, Wynelle and Murray Cobb Hollis, and Russell Courson.
Survivors include her husband, Greg Montgomery; sons, Clay Montgomery and Cole Montgomery; father, Gary M. White; sister, Anna White Fondren (Eric); brother, Chris White (Deidre); Nephews, Aaron Fondren, Jack Fondren, and Hunter White; and a niece, Kayla Watts (Eric).
Ashley was born in Tuscaloosa on March 4, 1972. She graduated from American Christian Academy in 1990 and attended Shelton State Community College.
Her 2 sons were the absolute light of her life and it was evident through her great love and devotion to them. She also had a great love for cats and could never pass up a stray. Her happiest moments were the times she spent with her boys and her cats.
Her fight for life was a legacy that will live on in the hearts and lives of her family and friends forever and she will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
Pallbearers will be: Aaron Fondren, Hunter White, Jackie McNutt, William Godwin, Christopher Winters, and Jonathan Cottingham.
