She was a graduate of Wyoming Memorial High School and Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Nursing. Marysville has been her home for over 60 years. Florence was a dedicated member of the Bethany United Methodist Church. She attended Marysville Senior Life, worked at the pools and enjoyed coffee with friends at the Marysville Senior Center. She was a women of few words and never complained.
She was the widow of Paul E. Reed, Sr. Florence is survived by a son, Paul E. Reed, Jr., his wife, Bonnie, of Duncannon, a daughter, Tamia Morrison and Robert Stark, of Camp Hill, two grandchildren, Steven Palmer (Jocelyn), of Lititz, Alexis Palmer, of Lancaster, two step-granddaughters, Tammie (William) Sheaffer, of Duncannon, Teri (Roger) Barrick, of Marysville, three great-grandsons, Jackson and Mason Palmer, and Kahsai Turpin, also two step-great-granddaughters, Marisha (Corey) Ebersole, of Duncannon and Devin Walters, of Enola. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Palmer, brothers, Wendell (Evelyn) and George Chambers and sisters Helen Jones, Vida Schuster and Aldine Chambers.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 31, 2017 in the Bethany United Methodist Church, Marysville, with Pastor Laura Kincaid officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Thursday in the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the Family.
