Born October 11, 1957, in Clarion, she was the daughter of Clair D. and Mabel E. DeLoe Miller of Fairmount City. They survive.
Mrs. Markle attended Redbank Valley High School. She graduated from Punxsutawney Beauty School.
She married Allen A. Markle on November 23, 1986, in Shippenville. He survives.
Mrs. Markle obtained her LPN license at the technical Education of Osceola in Kissimmee, Fla. In 2005 she obtained her RN license at Excelsior College in Albany. N.Y.
She was the owner/operator of Linda's Beauty Shop in Big Run for many years She later worked at various nursing homes and hospitals in Florida.
She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Kissimmee.
Very artistic, she enjoyed drawing, painting and playing the piano. Riding her motorcycle was another of her interests.
In addition to her parents and husband, survivors include a son, Timothy M. Heckman Jr. and his wife, Colleen, of Avondale; a daughter, Penny J. Detrie and her husband, Steve, of Big Run; two brothers, David L. Miller and his wife, Terri, of Timblin, and Timothy C. Miler and his wife, Brenda, of Lugoff, S.C.; a step-son, Barry Markle and his wife, Michele, of Cooperstown; two step-daughters, Terri L. Douglas and her husband, Dean, of East Brady, and Carma Wolfe of New Bethlehem; four grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 15, 2012, at the Furlong Funeral Home in Summerville with the Rev. Barry Markle officiating.
