Shirley Christine Kirk, 82 of Roanoke, passed into the hands of God peacefully Monday, February 22, 2021. There she joined her beloved husband of 43 years, Earnest Lee Kirk, her parents, Guy and Ola Crouse, three brothers, Doctor Bullard, Benjamin and Robert Crouse, and two sisters, Evelyn Furrow and Betty Martin.
Shirley was a retired decorator. She loved being outside planting flowers and gardening and most of all being with her family. She was a member of Green Ridge Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, Nan-Naw, and friend. We will forever miss her until we see her again in Heaven.
Left to cherish her memory include her daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Mike Levin, Pam and Lefty Leftwich, and Teresa and Jim Shepherd; her grandchildren, Jennifer Nicholson (Eric), Jimmy Levin, Stephanie Hofer (Chris), Haley Leftwich, Kayla Shepherd and Jaidyn Shepherd. Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Connel Nicholson, Alec Nicholson and Barrett Hofer, two sisters, Lessie Six (Kelly) and Iris Perdue, a brother, Danny Crouse (Barbara), numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for their loving care and support.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Oakey’s North Chapel, with Dr. J. Michael Palmer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
