Born June 16, 1958 at England, AR, he was the son of Mrs. Emma Jean Bridges Welch of England and the late Morley Welch. He attended England Schools.
Jerry worked for Central Moloney for 31 years until he retired in October of 2007 due to illness. He was a member of New Harvest Church of God.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ellen Kay Corley Welch, whom he married on March 23, 1979; a son, Jonathan Welch (Jessica) of Sugar Hill, GA; two daughters, Angela Welch Pennington (James) and Amy Welch Shadle (Lance), all of White Hall; three sisters, Wanda Young (Faron) and Barbara Miller (Rick), all of England, and Brenda Brown (Marvin) of White Hall; seven grandchildren, Ethan and Caleb Shadle, Trenton Pennington, Aiden, Drew, Ellie and Breah Welch; two step-grandchildren, Braydon and Brittney Pennington; his loving pet, Shelly; along with a host of loving family and friends.
