Dr. Butler, 54, was born April 15, 1916 in Spokane, and had practied in Vancouver for the past 24 years.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church; the Clark County Medical Association; the American Academy of General Practice; the Fort Vancouver Historical Society; the Fort Vancouver Rose Society; the Royal Oaks Country Club; and the Vancouver Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include his wife Jean Butler; two daughters, Mrs. Vernon Fowler, Jr., Salem, and Kathleen Ann Butler, Vancouver; a son, Robert Franklin Butler, Palo Alto, Calif., a brother, Alfred B. Butler, Pullman, Wash.; and one grandchild.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the First United Methodist Church, Vancouver. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Oregonian, Monday, July 13, 1970
