A Memorial service for Griffin Myron Lambert, 88, of Williston, SC will be held two p.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Griffin passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017.

Born in West Palm Beach, FL he was a son of the late Grayson Lambert and Eva Griffin Lambert. Griffin attended Heights Christian Church; he owned and operated Lambert’s Well Drilling and Septic Tank Company, was a farmer who enjoyed raising cows and pigs. He was a professional steer wrestler and calf roper in the rodeo circuit for many years and was instrumental in starting the Sherriff’s Posse in West Palm Beach, FL.

Survivors include a son Chris Lambert; a daughter Pierrette (Andy) Hood all of Williston, grandchildren Jessica Scott, Julieanna McAllister, Levi Lambert; great grandchildren Chloe Seeley, Katelyn Rigby, Camie Boynton and Hailey Rigby. He was formerly married to Bonnie (Jim) Lambert. He was preceded in death by a son Butch DeForest; a sister Jewel McCumber and a brother Fred McCumber.
