Nancy Lorraine Graybill, 83, of Middleburg, passed away at 4:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017.
She was born May 5, 1934, a daughter of the late Pauline (Lenig) Yerger and Leo William Yerger. On Dec. 27, 1952, she married Guy Graybill of Paxtonville, who survives.
An avid reader, she had an extensive library but also enjoyed doing counted-cross stitch and crossword puzzles. She often stated that her greatest joy in life was her family.
Throughout her life she held many jobs including secretary in the Dept. of Motor Vehicles as well as several positions with the U.S. Census Bureau. She retired after 17 years as a nutritional advisor with Penn State's EFNEP group.
Her community service included serving on the Board of Directors of several organizations including the Shade Mountain Health Center, Pennsylvania's EFNEP (Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program), and HUD's Rural Housing Rehabilitation Program.
Other public service included volunteer work with Snyder County Cancer Society, the Penn State Extension Office Family Living Advisory Council for Snyder and Union Counties, SUM (Snyder Union and Mifflin Counties) Child Development Program and serving as the prior Vice President and Lifetime Member of the Snyder County Historical Society. Nancy also published a copyrighted health record booklet.

In addition to her loving husband of 64 years, Guy Graybill, she is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Richard Reichley, and Bonnie and Barry Long; son, Eric Graybill and wife Diane; daughter, Greta (Graybill) Kerstetter and husband Bruce; son, Todd Graybill and wife Vicki; daughter, Sonia Graybill and huaband Edie Cox; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held for immediate family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association in her memory would be greatly appreciated.

Arrangements are by the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove.

Nan
Of course, there is sorrow, and, yes, there are tears,
For you, who grew sweeter, through all of our years,
Your smile ever lingered, a joy I now miss.
Although you grew weaker, Pale lips blew a kiss.
This pen I'm discarding, our match to renew.
I'll soon be abiding, forever, with you....

Her loving husband, Guy Graybill
