Of Springfield, OH, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. No more pain from cancer as he is now in heaven with God.
Karl was born on October 16, 1926 to Charles Vogel and Susanna (Kreutz) Vogel.
Survivors include his wife, Becky (Reba Mae Raulston) Vogel of Springfield, OH; son, Scott Vogel of Springfield OH, Kurt and Julie (Orth) Vogel, Galena, Eric and Becky (McLean) Vogel, Clayton; step-sister, Martha Miller of South Vienna, OH; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen Engle of Springfield, OH; brother-in-law, Jack (and wife Emily) of Raulston, TN and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, his step-mother Josephine (Waldnig) Vogel and step-sister, Teresa Miller.
He retired from Morris Bean & Company in Yellow Springs, OH.
Karl was a member of Saint Mark Methodist Church, where he served as the choir director for many years.
He loved singing in Barbershop quartets and chorus and was very involved with the Springfield chapter of S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A.
Karl was a U. S. Navy veteran sand served in World War II and the Korean War.
Karl requested that his body be given to the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University.
