NORBERT REMTER
Norbert Remter, 54, a native of Freedom residing at Round Lake, Ill., died at Chicago Friday noon. He was born April 4, 1903.

Funeral services will be at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at St. Paul Lutheran church, Round Lake with burial in the parish cemetery. The Strange (Strang) Funeral home, Gray's Lake, Ill., is making the arrangements.

He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Granger and Mrs. Robert Cassity, both of Racine; two sons, Norbert and Wayne, both at home; three brothers, Marlin, Minneapolis and Clarence and Gordon, both of Appleton; and two sisters, Mrs. William TeVrucht, Racine, and Mrs. Chester Scheibe, Appleton.

(NOTE: per The Journal Times (Racine WI) Tuesday, February 1, 1944, page 4: Mrs. Eva Remter, Norbert's first wife, age 36, died in St. Catherine's hospital in Kenosha from injures in an automobile accident. In the car were Norbert, along with William and Wilma TeVrucht which struck a tree. Eva was buried in the West Lawn Cemetery in Racine)
