Ms. Debra Lynn Reed, 61, died Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Pine Cottage at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 27th, at Noxapater Methodist Church, with Rev. Charles Reed and Rev. Jeff Walton officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until the service time at the church. Interment will be in Noxapater Methodist Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Debra was born November 20, 1955, in Winston County, MS. She earned her Master’s in Education from MUW, and taught elementary and high school in Brandon, MS for many years. Debra was also a member of Noxapater Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Price Reed; and a brother, David Reed.
She is survived by her father, Charles Reed of Noxapater; two brothers, Rev. Charles Harold Reed of Batesville, MS, and Daniel Reed of Noxapater; one nephew, William Thomas Reed; one niece, Mary Reed Barnes; and a special friend of the family, Lois Ellis.
Pallbearers will be David Reed, Joe Sullivan, Chris McArthur, Jason McArthur, William Reed, and William Barnes.
