Funeral services for Brenda Lee May, 56, of North Zulch, Texas have been set for 11 A.M., Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in North Zulch. Pastor Chris Richardson will officiate the service and burial will follow in the Willowhole Cemetery. No public visitation will be held. The family of Mrs. May has requested that donations be made in her memory to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 5084 Church Lane, North Zulch, Texas 77872. Brenda Lee May was born in Odell, Nebraska on March 28, 1961 to Loren Wieden and his wife, Shirley (Sohl) Wieden. She was raised in Nebraska but moved to North Zulch when she married and lived there for the past 35 years. Brenda was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in North Zulch. She worked as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office in North Zulch. She was interested in geneology and also enjoyed working with ceramics. Brenda was preceded in death by her mother and by her son, Justin May. Surviving family includes her father, Loren Wieden, of Odell, Nebraska; husband, Jack May of North Zulch; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Robert Johnson of North Zulch; two sisters, Cathy Bures of Odell, Nebraska and Debbie Minge of Beatrice, Nebraska and three granddaughters, Isabella, Emma and Annalise. Serving as pallbearers are Billy Simmons, Robert Johnson, Kenny Diserens, Bennie Rush, Mike Murphy and Ron Bures. Honorary pallbearers are Howard Rush, Alton Diserens and Robert Morrisett. Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of all arrangements.
