Vivian Simmons, 80 will be remembered for her strong will, unwavering faith in God and love for her family.
She was born in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Arthur and Ozzie Mae Allmon. She graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in Houston, Texas and moved around through the years until settling in Frankston, Texas. After 20 year at Western Pulp, she retired and started other adventures.
Vivian has traveled the world and visited 17 countries ;been baptized in the Jordan River,cruised the oceans all over the world- she was always ready for an adventure with family and friends. Known as a steadfast prayer warrior by family, friends and the community, she helped start and was a founding member of Berryville Community Church and Hilltop Baptist Church.
She is survived by four siblings; sister Jo Ann Lott (Homer), John Allmon (Lidia), Arthur Allmon (Diane) and David Allmon (Virginia); nine children, Jerry Simmons (Mary), Debbie Berry (Erv), Jo Ann Postert (Ed), Sue Simmons, James Simmons (Dana), Bill Simmons (Barbara), David Simmons (Victoria), Kathey Pritchard and Cynthia Simmons; her sweetheart, Gerald Peterson; 20 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren and numerous extended family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joe Hilton; parents; sibling, Boliver Allmon.
