Laura is survived by her two sons, Billy G. Shaw (Sharon) of Sherman, TX, and Michael N. Shaw (Shelly) of Arlington, TX; five grandchildren, Sara Ann Lindsey, Billie Jo Shaw, Tara Rae Wells, Jarod Michael Shaw, and Audra Lynn Robinson and twelve great grandchildren, Michael Shawn Lindsey Jr., Madison Kay Lindsey, Jaclyn Kay Rodgers, twins Luke Xander Rodgers and Logan Ryan Rodgers, Landen McCain Rodgers, Zoey Devon Wells, Sawyer Michael Wells, Lauren Jade Shaw, Kayla Grace Shaw, Michael Zander Shaw, and Kellen Maddux Robinson.

Laura was born into a large, loving family of thirteen brothers and sisters. Laura met the love of her life, Billy Joe Shaw, at a very early age and they were married August 28, 1948. Together, they raised three sons - losing one, SPC 5th Class US Army Eddie Joe Shaw when he was only 19 years of age. She dedicated her life to her family and did so with a sweet spirit. She was an excellent cook and also enjoyed serving her church family. Her sweet spirit and gregarious nature led her to make friends wherever she went. Once she had retired from cooking, she befriended those at the local restaurants and was always independently on the move. She enjoyed exercising with her friends at Sherman’s Senior Center, her brothers and sisters in Christ at Calvary Baptist, and most of all her family.

Laura was an incredibly strong woman, complaining little about the numerous medical tests, procedures and surgeries she endured. Most importantly, she never lost the deep love she had for her husband and will be laid to rest with him just a few miles from where she was born and where they courted.

Pallbearers for Laura will be, Michael Lindsey, Michael Shawn Lindsey, Tige Wells, Jarod Shaw, Kenny Robinson, Tommy Shaw, Flynn Coon, and Joe Fitzsimmons.
