Sandra Kaye Darby Poole, passed away at her home in Merritt Island, Florida on August 20, 2017.

She earned a Bachelor Degree from the University of South Carolina with high honors and accolades.

In 1973, she was one of 31 people who began developing computer applications for an eventual Fortune 500 company, Policy Management System. She rose from a computer programmer to managing the designing and development of those computer applications.

She loved and cared for her family and friends with great pride and joy. First and foremost, her daughter Molly, whom she considered a gift from God. She loved taking pictures of every event, big and small, in the lives of those she loved. She loved family vacations and having Nana Camp at her home.

Sandy was an active member of Northeast Presbyterian Church for 30 years in most organizations within. She was a member of the Good News Sunday School Class and taught Elementary through High School Sunday School classes. She participated in Women in the Church (WIC) where she served as president for two terms. She developed and taught curriculum for Vacation Bible School and served on multiple Associate Pastor search committees.

She worked with existing governmental and private organizations geared toward helping children with Down Syndrome and other special needs. She also worked to further develop new programs and lobby the State legislature for extra care and benefits for those with special needs.

Sandy is survived by her husband Larry Poole, children Molly Alexis Poole, Sara (Kersh) Peterson, Larry (Julie) Poole II, Terri (Barry) Brown; grandchildren Katlyn Brown, Cassidy Brown, Emily Brown, Tanis Poole, Taylor Poole, Noah Peterson, Isaiah Peterson, and Micah Peterson; brother Francis "Rusty" Guy (Cynthia) Darby, Jr.; sisters Kelly (Joe) Frazier, Harriet (Steven) Palecek; 33 Nieces and Nephews; 5 Uncles and Aunts.

She was preceded in death by her parents Francis Guy and Sara Elizabeth Kelly Darby; very special aunt Harriet Darby Lewis, many other beloved aunts and uncles; and niece Melinda Anne Poole.
