Mrs. Laura Lee Kelly was born July 19, 1921 in Lacey Springs, Alabama to Ira and Willie Lee Brewton. She left her earthly home to go on to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 26, 2013.

Laura matriculated through the Lacey Springs School System. She gave her life to the Lord at an early age at the Lacey Springs Church of God In Christ. Later, she was united in holy matrimony to Charlie Kelly. Mrs. Kelly was known as Laura Lee , a very fun loving, but stern aunt who would do anything for her family. Aunt Laura loved her family so much that she gave of herself, and everything she had, to help raise and take care of her siblings, nieces and nephews, grand aunt and especially her parents. It was nothing for her to help extended family members and anyone that came to her who needed help. She was a very hard worker, a fantastic cook, who loved to entertain, and would have you laughing at the way she asked you questions, and joked.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents: Ira and Willie Brewton; her husband: Charlie Kelly; four brothers: Ira Brewton, Clarence Brewton, Stephen Brewton, and James Brewton, three sisters: Bertha Spencer, Carrie Dee Clay, Lillie Mae Gordan, and one special niece: Laura Draper.
