Funeral services for Mrs. Floyce Ferguson Stanton of Vaiden will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 28, at Vaiden Baptist Church in Vaiden, with Rev. Leon Holly officiating. Burial will follow in Vaiden Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Monday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Mrs. Stanton, 83, died at her home on Thursday, August 24. She was born on April 20, 1934, to A. J. and Daisy Dell Stewart Ferguson. Mrs. Stanton was a retired AT&T employee and a member of Vaiden Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Stanton; sister, Sue Ferguson Pinkston; and brother, Ronnie J. Ferguson.
Mrs. Stanton is survived by two daughters, Sherri Stanton Blaine and Suzanne Stanton Watkins, both of Winona; one son, Durward Stanton of Vaiden; one sister, Betty Pender of Vaiden; two brothers, Hugh Ferguson of French Camp and Billy Joe Ferguson of Vaiden; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Stanton, Ben Stanton, Stanton Watkins, Greg Watkins, Barrett Johnson, and Robert Pinkston.
