Vivian Evans Lahee, 97, formerly of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Century Villa Health Care in Greentown.

She was born on July 7, 1920 in Rockville, IN to Lawrence and Clara (Martin) McAlister. She was a graduate of Rosedale High School and Terre Haute Commercial College. She married George F. Evans on November 26, 1942 and he preceded her in death on August 21, 1967. She then married Vernon O. Lahee on March 6, 1971 and he preceded her in death on May 2, 2002.

Vivian moved to Titusville, Florida in 1971. She loved entertaining family and friends in her Florida home. Her grandchildren loved going with friends to “Grandma’s house” on Spring Break. She loved having them where they were welcomed with a big bowl of chocolate chip cookies.

Vivian is survived by her three Sons: Robert Evans of Forest, IN, George “Skip” Evans of Frankfort, IN, and Phil (Melinda) Evans of Thomasville, GA; Daughter: Deanna (Alvin) Laughner of Kokomo, IN; Grandchildren: Pat (Brian) Newlon, Carolyn (Jim) Lybrook, Mike (Erika) Evans all of Indiana; Jeff Hines and Tara (Dennis) McMurphy both of Missouri; Brenda (Daryl) Bourbeau of Austrailia; Steve (Rob) Laughner of Michigan; Cheri (Cooper) Howell of North Carolina; Ali (Scott) McGregor of Colorado; Jason (Molly) Evans, Chad (Angela) Evans, Courtney (Laura) Evans, Jared (Elizabeth) Evans, Ashley Evans, and Melissa (Rem) Morris all of Georgia. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and very special nieces and nephews. Vivian was preceded in death by her daughter: Sandra K. Hines, son-in-law: Jim Hines, daughters-in-law: Judy Evans and Peggy Evans; a grandson; and a granddaughter.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center in Frankfort. Friends may visit on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Pastor Craig Overman will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery.
