He was born in Jeff, Kentucky on October 16, 1946, son of the late Earl B. and Dorothy Roberts Holt. He was retired from the U.S. Government and co-owner of Mid-Tex. He was also a U.S. Army veteran, obtaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and a Mason of the Mt. Horeb Lodge #137 of Mahomet, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Arawana Dick Holt of Copperas Cove, TX, one son, Brian Holt of Austin, TX, sisters, Alma Porter of Birmingham, AL and Idella Carrier of Cincinnati, OH and their families. He is also survived by brother-in-law, Russell and Hazel Dick of Science Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James Holt and was son-in-law of the late Carl and Ruby Dick.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Massey officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 AM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
