Irene E. Perkins, 97, of Harvard, IL; passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Golden Years Nursing Home in Walworth. Irene was born on a farm in Rock County near Clinton, WI to Fred and Mayme (Keough) Lannon on September 11, 1919. She attended local country schools and graduated from Clinton High School. Irene married Howard R. Perkins on September 21, 1938, and they farmed in the White Oaks area all their married lives. She loved to dance and was interested in family genealogy. Irene was a member of the
Harvard Historical Society, the Harvard Garden Club, Women of the Moose and the Four Seasons Travel Club. She volunteered 10 years for “Reading Pairs” in the Harvard grade schools. Survivors include her son; daughter; daughter-in-law; four grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Howard of 54 years; son Gerald; brother Donald Lannon and daughter-in-law Gaylon Perkins. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery in Sharon, WI.
