The Nashville American of yesterday contains the following society item of news: "Miss Louise Grundy McGavock was married to Dr. Thomas J. Tyner, of Memphis, by Rev. Dr. T.A. Hoyt, yesterday afternoon at 6 o'clock, at the residence of Dr. J. Berrien Lindsley, south Nashville. Only a few of the nearest relatives of the pair and their most intimate friends were present, no cards having been issued. After a bountiful collation enjoyed by themselves and congratulating friends, the bridal couple left at 7:45 for New Orleans.
In the death notice she is listed as Lynn rather than Tyner.

Lynn-In San Antonio Tex., January 30, 1885, Mrs. L.M. Lynn, wife of Dr. T.J. Lynn, formerly of this city.
Mrs Lynn was a Miss Louise McGavock, of Mississippi county, Ark. Her remains will be taken to Nashville for interment in the family burying ground of the McGavocks.
