Joseph E. Park Sr, 86, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at St. Anthony Health Care.

He was born December 28, 1930, in Port Matilda, PA, to the late La Rue and Lillie Standley Park.

On July 23, 1950, he married Edna Johnston in Cincinnati and she survives.

Joseph worked as a Printer for Wesley Press in Indianapolis and retired

in 1996.

He was a member of Evergreen Wesleyan

Church.

Surviving with his wife are his children Rev. Joseph (Nancy) Park, Jr. of Lafayette, Rebekah (William) Schultz of Nazareth, PA, Naomi Pence of Lafayette, Mary (Lonny) Ballard of Athens, AL, Rachel (Kevin) Schouweiler of Madisonville, KY, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Also surviving is his brother, Rev. Ralph (Doris) Park of CO.

Joseph was preceded by his daughter Esther Tripp, sisters, Luella Highlander, Beulah Tacket, Ethelyn Jones, brothers, David, Orville

and La Rue Park.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday at Evergreen Wesleyan Church, 1525 Grove Street, Lafayette.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the time of the service at 10:30 am on Wednesday at Evergreen Wesleyan Church, Rev. Joseph Park Jr. officiating. Interment will be at 2:30 pm on Wednesday at Riverside Cemetery in Gas City, Indiana.
