LOLA H. THOMPSON (nee Fuller), age 74. Loving companion of Jimmy Smith; dear mother of Pancho (wife Paula) of Kirtland, Brenda Varner (husband Dave) of Burton, Rusty, and Jody Damankos (husband Mark) of Highland Heights; grandmother of Drew and Luke Damankos, and Jessica Fugate (husband Will). Lola was looking forward to her first great granddaughter in July. Born in Cleveland, Lola later resided in Lake and Geauga Counties and most recently, Columbus. She enjoyed participating in her children's' sports activities when they were young. Her most favorite pastimes were boating, fishing, bowling, dancing and walking her dog Studly. Although Lola survived 29 months after brain cancer resection (GBM), she was unable to recover from her most recent illness. A celebration of life is to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to The Gathering Place, 23300 Commerce Park, Beachwood, OH 44122 or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110.
