OBITUARY: - BELL, Beverley Bennett - Beverley "Bev" Bell passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Regina Beach at the age of 82 years.

He was predeceased by his son Bevan Andrew; parents Herb and Kay Bell; brothers Charles and Frank (Norma); parents-in-law John and Margaret Ellis; as well as many extended family members.

Bev was a natural athlete who excelled at every sport he attempted. As an avid sportsman you would see Bev hunting pheasants in Plentywood, fishing on Long Lake and golfing at both Regina Beach and Gilbert, AZ.

He was a proud Regina Pat, played from 1951 to 1955 - (Bev, was a member of the Pats Hall of Fame, was likely the most talented player of his era. His skating, stickhandling, passing and his accurate shot were exceptional and there was no one better at bringing the puck out of his own end). Then he played 10 years pro in the Quebec and Western Hockey Leagues. He also played ball with the Caterpillars and was one of the first quarterbacks for the Regina Rams. When he retired from pro hockey he continued his passion for the game as a scout for the Minnesota North Stars and also coaching the Pat Blues.

Bev could not stay off the blades and played senior hockey with the Regina Caps and then old timer hockey with the RCMP Bisons and Cyclones as well as Hicke's Hookers for over 25 years.
