Philip Eugene Vance, 75 of Fairlea, WV, was the son of the late Carl Lambert and Anna Macel Vance. In addition to his parents he was preceeded in death by his brother, Carl Junior Vance, and two sisters, Mary Bland and Darlene Coffman. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Carter Vance, sons: Mike, Chris, and Pat, brothers: James "Pretty", Jerry, George and Robert Vance, and sisters: Margaret "Midge" and Ramona "Bayo". He was a member of the Fairlea Fire Department for 27 years having served as chief and assistant chief. He was a member of the Fairlea ARP Church serving as a Deacon and Elder. He was an active member of the community.
