Addie Ruth Davis Fincher, 91, of Dawson passed away at home on August 21, 2017. Funeral services will be held at Beulah Primitive Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2017. A private interment will be held. The family will receive friends at Harvey Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Fincher was born in Terrell County (Warner), Georgia on September 12, 1925, daughter of the late James A. Davis, Sr. and the late Ruth Morton Davis. She was a graduate of Parrott High School and Albany Vocational School and worked as a bookkeeper for R.D. Smith Insurance Agency from 1961-1982 and Locke Farm Center from 1984-2017. She was a member of Beulah Primitive Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fincher was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Fincher; son, Melvin Fincher; step-son, Dickie Fincher; brother, James Davis, Jr. and sister, Carolyn Davis. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Gloria Fincher Thompson; step-daughters, Linda Fincher Camp (Jack) and Melinda Fincher; grandsons, Douglas Fincher and David Fincher; granddaughter, Melaina F. Gilley; step-grandsons, Jack Camp, Stephen Camp, Matthew Camp and Jason Fincher; step-granddaughter, Jeteea Lowery; and 8 great-grandchildren.
