Carl Alden Lentz, age 67 of Oxford, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly at home on November 19, 2010.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Oxford Funeral Home in Oxford with Reverend Dominick Thoman officiating. Burial will be at the Oxford Village Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.

Carl was born January 18, 1943 in the family farmhouse outside of Oxford. He graduated from Oxford High School as valedictorian in 1961. After a year of college, he returned home to work on the family farm. Carl and Karen (Grant) were married in the Oxford Presbyterian Church on July 11, 1964. Eventually Carl took over the farm. He also worked as a seed corn salesman, cattle dealer, shuttle bus driver, and insurance salesman. Carl's greatest pride was his family and the moments surrounded by loved ones were when he was most happy.

Carl is survived by his wife, Karen (Grant) Lentz of Oxford; his five children, Cory Lentz of Oxford, Kent Lentz of Oxford, Kelly (Randy) Esser of Deforest, Karey (Andy) Netz of Wisconsin Rapids, and Carney Lentz of Mauston; seven grandchildren, Kent Lentz Jr. of Oxford, Ashley (Lentz) Dunn of Crum, Texas, Dalton Maier of Deforest, Mikal Maier of Deforest, Andie Netz of Wisconsin Rapids, Kerry Netz of Wisconsin Rapids, and Takoda Lentz of Oxford; two great grandchildren, Shaylee Dunn, and Corbin Dunn both of Crum Texas ; a brother, Russell Lentz of LaValle; two sisters, Barbara (Lentz) Miller of Delafield, and Bonnie (Lentz) Mularkey of Bogota, Texas; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Carl was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Lentz; his mother, Dora Lentz; a brother, Raymond Lentz; and a daughter in law, Colleen (Ramme) Lentz.
