He was united in marriage on September 1, 1983, at Vienna, to the former Miss Kristen Margo Ellis, and to this union, three children were born.
Bill was a member of the Mid-Missouri Buck Skinners Club, Freeburg; the Wyss Deer Camp; the National Rifle Association; and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, being in the mountains and hunting Elk, attending rodeos with his daughter, Morgan, and all family activities.
During his working life, he had been self-employed for the most part as owner and operator of the Bill Wyss Backhoe and Dump Truck Company for the past forty years as well as being a farmer. At the time of his death, Bill was still farming and actively operating his business.
Those left to mourn the passing of Bill include: His wife, Kristen Wyss, his children, Jared Wyss and friend, Nancy Riegel, Taylor Wyss, and Morgan Wyss, and his father, Lawrence Wyss, all of rural Vienna; his aunt and uncle, Pauline and Charles Sherrell, and their daughter, Angie, all of Dixon; other relatives and friends; and although Bill was never to be a grandpa, with no grandchildren at the time of his death, he did have a grand-pup named Roper.
Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, 5705 Grant Creek Road, Missoula, Montana 59808.
