Debbie Carmeleta Moe Duncan was born September 17, 1957 in Ames, Iowa to Myron Moe and Shirley Ball Moe. She died August 20, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa at the age of 59 years.
Deb grew up in Ames, Iowa and attended school in Ames. Deb had a love for music and played stand-up bass and sang for Family Tradition Blue Grass Band. They traveled all over playing the music she loved with quite a following from Iowa, Illinois, Missouri and Arkansas.
In 2002, Deb was united in marriage to Chris Duncan. They made their home in Boone, Iowa. Deb worked as a custodian for Iowa State University. She was very involved over the last 20 years as the Union President and as a Board Member of the AFSME Iowa.
Deb enjoyed gardening, camping, playing music, but most of all spending time with her grandkids and family.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents, Myron and Shirley. She is survived by her husband Chris Duncan of Boone, IA; her children: Kevin (Shannon) Ferguson of Leadville, CO, Brian Ferguson of Leadville, CO, Kenny (Julie) Duncan of Boone, IA, and Samantha (Bryan) Perry of Boone, IA; 6 grandchildren: Elijah, Asa, Quinlan, Piper, Gunner, and Steele; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
