She married Dennis Marshall in 1982 and their children are Carol and Christopher. She married John Van Epps on July 2, 2000, and his children are Rebekah and David. She is survived by her brother Guy Folcarelli and his wife Terry, a niece Jessica DeMartino, and many cousins and relatives. She was a very loving and caring person and was beloved by her family and friends.
Michele was a Library Director for many years of the Cora Belden Library in Rocky Hill and the Acton Library in Old Saybrook, and in between she was a librarian at the Wethersfield and Durham libraries. She was an active member of the Congregational UCC churches in Rocky Hill, where she was a deacon, North Guilford, Guilford and Ivoryton. There she was especially involved with quilting, missions and hospitality. Among her many volunteer activities where Dinosaur Park, the Christine Moser Foundation, Goodspeed Opera, the Dudley Farm and Cappella Cantorum, where she went on two concert tours to Europe.
She contracted lung disease in September 2014, but it never defeated her spirit. A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church, 122 Broad Street, Guilford, on Friday August 25th. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Rocky Hill. Friends may donate to the Smilow Cancer Center donate a book to a library of your choice.
