John Leon Crawley,age 65, retired from Airco Specialty Gases and was longtime member of the Masseyline Church of God.
He was devoted to helping the elderly members of his church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and car restorations.
Preceding him in death were his parents Charles and Helen Faggard Crawley; wife Phoebe Ann Crawley; daughters Tessya Melvin and Tanya Humphrey.
Survivors include his grandchildren Brittnay Michelle Payne Daugherty (Dilland), Colby Dewayne Melvin, Kenneth Wayne Hutchens and Lauren Kendall Humphrey; sisters Gail Finley (Frederick) of Gardendale and Lois Jean Stephenson (Randall) of Pell City; brothers Horace Milton Crawley (Glennis) of Hartselle and Howard Crawley (Rhonda) of Hayden; host of nieces, nephews, extended family and loving church members.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from the Masseyline Church of God from 12:30 until 2 PM. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM from the church with Bro. Benny Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
