Lawrence Ray Hudson, 66, of Rt. 2, died Sundaym Dec. 3, 1995 in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Beatrice Titty Hudson.
Born in Appomattox Co., July 6, 1929, he was a son of the late Lillian Driscoll and Lawrence B. Hudson. Mr. Hudson was retired Air Force Tech Sargent having served in the Korean Conflict and a retire supervisor with Meredith- Burda Corporation. He was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church, a member and past master of the following Masonic Lodges, Monroe Masonic #301 AF & AM, Reddy Springs #203, John Ancell #255, Thomas Traylor Daylight #348; a member of Southside Lodge #191, Mackey Lodge 69, Rustburg, Farmville Lodge 41 and Cumberland Lodge #283. Past District Deputy Grand Master 26th Masonic District.; a member of the Grand Lodge of Virginia Committee on Works, Eastern Star Chapter #10, American Legion Post 104 and the Scottish Rite Body. In 1988 he served as administrative assistant to Grand Master Hunter Jones.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons,Darl G. Hudson and wife Cindy of Concord and Donnie R. Hudson of Lynchburg; eight brothers and sisters, Landon J. Hudson, Bascomb D. Hudson both of Newport News, Geneva H. White of Forest, Mateland I. (Mike) Hudson of Appomattox, Irvin D, Hudson of Madison Heights, Russell D. Hudson of Richmond, Jerry W. Hudson of Appomattox and Billy Wayne Hudson of Amherst; and seven grandchildren, Miranda Albany Hudson, Derik Brandon Hudson both of Appomattox, Mark Wayne Hudson, Tia Nicole Hudson both of Lynchburg, Sarah Grace Hudson of Bedford, William Eric Wilson and Whitney Eleah Wilson both of Concord.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dwight Wayne Hudson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wed., Dec 6, 1995) at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. James N. Williams with burial in Liberty Cemetery.
