Dora Barker, 99, of Smithfield passed away Saturday August 19,2017 at Graham Hospital in Canton. She was born on March 2, 1918 in Fulton County to Earl and Laura (Rodgers) Thompson.

She married Earl Barker on November 2, 1946 in Havana, Illinois he preceded her in death on May 24, 2004. She is survived by three sons: Earl “Rusty” (Janet) Barker, Edward Lester “Buster” (Theresa) Barker, Eric Lynn “Rip” Barker; five grandchildren: Scott, Chris and Nathan Barker, Hollie Rhoades, and Desire Barker, two step grandchildren, George and Rachel Wallace, and five great – grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

Dora was a farmer’s wife and she loved to cook and quilt.

Funeral services will be held on Friday August 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton where visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be held at the White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. Memorials may be made the donor’s choice.
