Services for Johnnie Dean Logan Collins, 75, of Hodge, were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 24, 1996, in Hodge Baptist Church with Rev. Perry Lassiter officiating.
Burial was in Gayla Traina Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.
Mrs. Collins died Wednesday, May 22, 1996, in Baton Rouge after a lengthy illness.
She was born and raised in Richland Parish, came to Jackson Parish in the early 40's and had lived here ever since. She was a member of Hodge Baptist Church where she was Sunday School Teacher for the 4 and 5 year olds for approximately 50 years. She was a member of Jonesboro Hodge Garden Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Lee and husband, James, of Baton Rouge, and Robbye Thomas and husband, Rod, of Chicago, IL; one sister, Lady Jewel Dozier of Archibald; and five grandchilden, Allison Thomas, Luke Thomas, Jennifer Lee, Chris Lee, and Colleen Lee.
Pallbearers were Chris Lee, Luke Thomas, Joe Collins, Clyde Scott, Rodney Collins, Johnny Golden, Darrell Avery, Jeff Thomas, John A. Thomas, and Quinton Causey.
