Thomas D. Kirkpatrick, 93, of Wyomissing, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017, in Reading Hospital.

He was married to Rosalie M. (Francis) Kirkpatrick, who died February 22, 2010.

Born in Altoona, he was the son of the late Francis and Grace (Jones) Kirkpatrick.

Thomas was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, West Reading.

He was a 1941 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School, and a 1942 graduate of People's Watch Repair Company.

Thomas was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WW II.

He worked as a watch repairman at People's Watch Repair Co. from 1942 to 1950. Thomas later was employed at Carpenter Technology as a senior buyer in purchasing for 33 years, retiring in 1985.

Thomas enjoyed bowling and golf. He played baseball in high school, and during his military days. He loved the Phillies.

In addition to his wife, Thomas is survived by three children: Timothy J., husband of Jeannette Kirkpatrick, Sinking Spring; Janet L., wife of Dean Heller, Stuart, FL, and Karen A., wife of John Schmoyer, Adamstown; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive him.

He was predeceased by his brother, John and his sister, Pauline Scheffer,

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 am. in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 701 Franklin St., West Reading. Burial will be private in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 am. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading.
