Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Pearl Phillips Durham.
Ramona was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers and gardening, needlework, music and good books. She enjoyed reading and studying her bible and learning about Jewish history and customs. She loved her grandchildren dearly and was a member of Hunts Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to her husband of 70 years, include two daughters, Phyllis Sheriff (Will) and Peggy Holcombe (Sam); two grandchildren, Stephen Sheriff and Sally Chavous (Jon); and one great grandchild, Carolina Grace Chavous.
