Professional Hockey Player. For twelve seasons (1948 to 1960), he played at the center position in the National Hockey League with the Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, Chicago Black Hawks and New York Rangers. Born David Theodore Creighton, he experienced a Memorial Cup title with the Port Arthur Bruins in 1948 and later that year, he was promoted to the NHL with the Boston Bruins. During the course of his career, he reached the 20-goal mark three-times. Additionally, he achieved all star status twice (1952 and 1956). In 616 career regular season games, he compiled 140 goals, with 174 assists. After retiring as a player, he remained in the sport to serve as a Minor League coach. His son Adam Creighton became a successful NHL player in his own right.
