ELGIN Graveside service for Carl Wayne Brewer, 76, of Elgin, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, with Pastor Larry Thoma officiating.
Mr. Brewer passed away Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, in Midwest City.
Carl Wayne Brewer was born Aug. 8, 1941, in Marietta, Okla., to Harvey and Euldene (Webb) Brewer. He grew up and attended school in Henrietta, Texas. Carl served his country in the United States Army from 1963 until he retired in 1984. He married Charlotte Crump on July 16, 1978. They came to Elgin in 1984.
He is survived by three sons: Benne Brewer of Elgin, and Steven and Joseph Brewer, both of Washington; and one granddaughter, Erika Brewer.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Harvey and Euldene Brewer; and his wife, Charlotte Brewer.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
