Esther M. Carpenter, 65, of Marietta passed away at 12:19 am, Monday, August 21, 2017, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born February 2, 1952, in Washington County, Ohio, to Thomas and Laurena Carver Hendrickson.
Esther was a social worker for Eve, Inc. and attended The Church of The Lost and Found.
On April 26, 1972, she married Larry Carpenter who survives with a son and a daughter, Stacy Carpenter of McArthur, OH and Aaron (Tabatha) Carpenter of Cutler; 3 grandchildren: Brandon, Allison and Briston; 8 brothers and sisters: Norman, Eileen, Carl, Kenny, Larry, Mary, George and Neil. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family will greet friends at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Wednesday (Aug. 23) from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Gravel Bank Cemetery.
