Terry Lynn Barnett was born October 22, 1956 in Henderson, Texas, and was a lifelong resident of Carthage, Texas. He was a member of the Carthage High School class of 1975. Terry was the youngest of five children born to J.A. “Bill” Barnett and Billie Watkins Barnett. Terry was employed for ten years by the law firm of Pritchard and Pritchard and the delinquent tax division of Pritchard and Abbott in Henderson. Terry also worked for the Panola County Tax Office where he became Chief Deputy and remained until his retirement in 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister and brother-in-laws, Eloise B. and W.B. “Bill” Taylor and J. Herbert Allums.
