Harry K. Neustadter, 88, of Strasburg, was ushered into glory on Monday, February 9, while under the care of Hospice. He was the husband of Teresa (Haldeman) Neustadter for over 64 years.
Born on May 18, 1926 in Bareville, he was the son of the late Gerhard and Suzanne (Kruger) Neustadter.
Harry retired from Armstrong World Industries in 1988 after 38 years in the floor manufacturing plant. He also enjoyed carpentry work and working on cars. He regularly attended Living Faith Church of God, with his last days spent attending Calvary Monument Church.
Harry was extremely active in the lives of his three children, 16 grandchildren, and 34 great-grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Terri, married to Charles Roberts III, Jean, married to Randy Hildebrand, and a son, Joe, married to Barb (Fisher) Neustadter, all of Strasburg, a sister, Susan (Neustadter) Wimer, of Lancaster, and two brothers, Rudy Neustadter, married to Barbara, of The Villages of Florida, and John Neustadter, of Texas. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gerhard Neustadter, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Monument Church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise, PA, on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 4 PM. The family will greet friends following the service. Interment will be private.
