She was born September 8, 1927 in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada, the daughter of John and Sarah Barbour.
She came to the United States to attend college at Boston University and graduated as a Physical Therapist.
Jane worked in New York City at the Hospital for Special Surgery where she met her husband and lifelong companion Robert Marsh. They were married in 1952 and moved to Gloversville.
In her career she worked with her husband in private practice on E. State Street in Gloversville from 1962 to 1972. She was the head of the Physical Therapy Dept. at the Fulton County Infirmary and continued as a consulting Physical Therapist after retirement for Lexington Center.
She was a lifelong accomplished bridge player and made friends for life. She was a wonderful hostess to friends and family. She loved both her homes at Peck's Lake and in Indiantown, Florida.
Jane is survived by her husband, Robert W. Marsh of Schenectady; three children, John Lawrence Marsh (Linda) of Iowa City, Iowa, Ellen Marsh DeCarr (Michael) of Hendersonville, NC and James Henry Marsh (Theresa) of Syracuse; a sister, Judith Hoover of Palm Beach Garden, FL; seven grandchildren, Samantha Bradley, David Roer, Ian Marsh, Sara Marsh, Amanda Marsh, BJ Eden and MacKenzi Marsh; as well as a great-granddaughter, Abigail Ella Bradley.
Interment will take place at Gerald B. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
