Mrs. Faye Anderson Riddle, age 83 of North Wilkesboro passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, August 21, 2017 at Little Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Mathis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Riddle was born February 28, 1934 in McDowell County, WV to Bill and Dora Ratliff Anderson. She was a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church. Mom was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was always the loving homemaker, but she worked a lot, Peerless Hosiery for 14 years, Holly Farms as a chicken farmer for 20 years, then at the age of 60 she went back to college and received her CNA Certificate and worked until the age of 76. She was an Amazing Woman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Bon Lee Riddle, a daughter; Cynthia Darlene Riddle Jones, three sisters; Cathy Knight, Eunice Edsel, Nora Louise Anderson and two brothers; Jimmy Anderson and Oliver Anderson.
She is survived by one daughter; Dorrie Riddle Roncone and husband Michael of Wilmington and one son; Allen Lee Riddle of North Wilkesboro, five grandchildren; Juanita Holbrook Souther of North Wilkesboro, Mark Holbrook and wife Jennifer of Colorado Springs, CO, Chris Roncone and wife Kyla, Tracey Bruns and husband David, Jennifer Shoe and husband Corey all of Wilmington, NC, eighteen great grandchildren, three sisters; Helen Marion and husband Tony of Millers Creek, Hilda Absher of North Wilkesboro and Joy Roberts and husband Larry of Granite Falls and one brother; Leslie Anderson and wife Shirley of Walkertown.
