Ronald Venon "Tiny" Whitaker
Lawrenceburg, Kentucky
As the son of an educator, he spent his school years in various towns throughout the state. In Trimble County at the age of seven, he was recognized as one of the youngest basketball officials in the United States. He graduated from Mt. Sterling High School in 1962 after a successful football career that included selection as a member of the 1960 Courier-Journal All-State Football Squad, and went on to attend Eastern Kentucky University. Ron retired from sales at Oldcastle Precast in 2010.
